Success Stories
I was originally hired by Tony himself back in 2004 as an entry level manager at our McGregor location in Fort Myers. Since then I’ve moved from multiple stores including Bonita, Tiki, San Carlos, Sarasota, Naples, and Marco Island as a manager and trainer. I was promoted in 2013 to District Manager, and as we’ve grown over the years new positions are constantly becoming available and created including my most recent promotion to Director of Operations.

Beau Perry
Director of OperationsI came on board as a server back in 2004 at our Bonita location and established myself as a key trainer. I was then offered the opportunity to work at the nearby support center doing various administrative tasks. After helping open and train the staff at our Gulf Coast Town Center and Texas Tony’s locations in 2012/13 I was offered a full time position at the office. After taking on roles in marketing, events, and accounting I eventually found a permanent home in the accounting department and am now one of the companies store representatives/account manager. - “We are never too good for a task.”
Kresta Poland
Account ManagerI started out as a manager at Beef O Brady’s and when the economy took a turn for the worse I decided to take my talents elsewhere. I interviewed with Grant Phelan himself back in 2008 and was brought on as an assistant manager at the Bonita store. Not much longer I was promoted to General Manager of Bonita for about a year, and was later offered the opportunity to open and run our newly created Gulf Coast Town Center store in Fort Myers. Then one day Grant came to me with an idea to push the brand North and had his sights set on Lakewood Ranch in Sarasota. I opened and ran this location for a time and was later promoted to District Manager as our next northern prospect was coming online in Wiregrass – Tampa. Having enjoyed great success the family decided to open another Tampa location in Carrollwood, so my region was quickly becoming larger. It was made even more so as the Phelan Family launched its newest brand, Deep Lagoon Seafood in Naples. I was given the opportunity to oversee the development of this new brand as well as the establishment of our newest Pinchers location in Venice. Then in the beginning of 2018 I was able to move my career even further with the creation of a brand new position, VP of Purchasing & Concept Development. - “It starts with a button.”
Phil Conway
VP of Purchasing & Concept DevelopmentI was hired on as Front of House manager at our Lakewood Ranch location in 2012. A year later I became Kitchen Manager, learning all aspects of running a successful restaurant. Afterwards I was quickly promoted to General Manager at Lakewood Ranch and was later transferred to our newly opened Wiregrass (Tampa) location as General Manager in 2015. After establishing a successful foothold in that market I came back to Lakewood Ranch for a short time only to be promoted to District Manager of the Northern stores. - "The only way to do great work is to love what you do."

District Manager - NorthMy first job in this industry was at Hooters on Fort Myers Beach. My GM at the time had left to work for Pinchers and later informed us that Pinchers was looking to hire managers. I interviewed at our Tiki location with Grant and the GM of that location and was hired on spot with no manager experience whatsoever. My training began at our Bonita store and about 6 months later Grant walked in at 9pm and asked me if I wanted to move to our San Carlos location as the Front of House manager, which I accepted. Over several years I continued to develop my managerial skills, moving between several locations until word of the eventual Gulf Coast Town Center location came out. I remember asking Grant that I wanted to transfer there and told him I would eventually become the GM, which I did. Over the next several years I assisted with the opening of our Marina at Edison Ford and Tarpon Point locations until a brand new position emerged a couple years ago that I was entirely suited for, Director of Training. – “Hustle beats talent when talent doesn’t hustle.”
